The Washington County Association of Museums & Historic Sites is the active organization that promotes all of the historical locations within Washington County, MD. Each sites/museum is own individual entity but combined together, efforts are better made at promtoing places at once. The organization does come together over certain events as group but often its just the promotion of site to site out of respect for the greater picture of educating the public on the county's historical gems.
