Enjoy a guided, 6 mile paddle on a mellow section of the Potomac River that has been described in National Park literature as, “one of the most beautiful stretches of navigable waterways in the mid-Atlantic.” Visit sand and gravel beaches, wade or go for a swim, and explore the Catoctin Creek tributary as water levels permit. Enjoy watching the eagles soar above and spotting the many other birds that call this area home. Upon arrival back from kayaking, we change clothes and caravan to Big Cork Vineyard. Nestled on 100 rolling acres, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, you’ll feel like you’ve walked into Napa Valley when you visit their 10,000 square foot tasting room with cloud-like ceilings and sleek interior design. Quench your thirst with a wine tasting featuring six of their delectable wines. Enjoy a private wine tasting tour and satisfy your appetite with a cheese plate featuring three cheeses, baguette, dried fruits, and nuts.
