Hagerstown YMCA is a membership-only facility, but paying players get access to two indoor courts with permanent game lines, and it’s open seven days a week.
Guidelines for newbies are available at the front desk, and there’s an on-site café for post-game refreshments.

If you’d rather play for free in the scenic surroundings of a leafy park, look no further than the Marty Snook Park pickleball courts. There are two in total, and both boast permanent lines and nets – so all you’ll need is your paddle.
If you want our advice, bring a picnic basket and make a day of it - the park also has a walking trail, a 25-meter swimming pool, and loads of space to soak up some well-earned sun.
Another good option for pickleball enthusiasts seeking serene surroundings is Pangborn Park. Closer to the center of Hagerstown than the other venues on this list, it has two free-to-use outdoor hard courts with permanent game lines.
However, the pickleball lines are overlaid on a tennis court, and the net is a little taller than usual. But if you’re up for an extra challenge, it’s a top place for a match. If your pickleball session rolls on into the evening, don’t worry – lighting is on hand to ensure you can continue.
Regional Park offers ample space to showcase your pickleball skills, offering two outdoor hard courts. However, you’ll need to bring your own nets along if you plan to play here.
Restrooms are available for players, and there’s also a 36-hole disc golf course if you want to try your hand at another accessible sport that’s growing in popularity. It’s also one of the nicest places in the area to have a quiet, post-game stroll.
